Diverse Voices Playwriting Contest

Our annual Diverse Voices Playwriting Contest spotlights new and emerging playwrights whose work represent or addresses the cultural diversity of America or diversity issues.

These readings are open to the public and offer playwrights valuable industry exposure.

The 2007 Diverse Voices four finalists are Sand Creek Casino by Stuart Boyce, Peeps by Michael Stockman, The Red Train by Ben V. Marshall, and the The Boiling House by Peter Snoad. These play were read at the 45th Street Theatre on July 2nd and 9th in front of the general public and judges that included Broadway producers, writers, directors, and other industry professionals. In September, the first place winner will be announced and awarded $1,000,00 dollars.
